Spring Circle + Botanical Clay
Botanical Clay Saining Tray : $125
Saturday 5th September @ 10am - 12pm
Join us for the first weekend of spring for a morning of relaxation & playing with clay + flowers…
Craft your very own ritual tray, perfect to catch ash when doing smoke cleansing or for your altar. We will be working with a beautiful warm mid fire speckled clay, using your choice of herbs & plants to create patterns in the clay - it is a magical process what smells amazing too! (think lavender, rosemary and lemon balm…)
You also have the option of stamping a word or affirmation of choice into your creation.
This circle is limited to just 10 people
The morning will include a saining ritual using Australian ethically grown White Sage, circle work to create a safe container for our time together & sharing (if you feel called to do so), a guided meditation, finishing off with creating our ritual tray.
What to bring: Note book and pen, anything you wish to place on the altar to be infused with the ceremony energy to take home with you, and please wear comfortable clothing as we will be seated on floor yoga chairs.
Herbal tea & light snacks will be provided (along with all tools & materials to create!)
If you have any questions at all please feel free to reach out to me, and I look forward to meeting with you in Circle soon…
Much love

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR BOOKING:
Workshops are designed for adults, although 14+ are welcome if accompanied by an adult guardian (unless stated in the workshop description that it is a child appropriate class)
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the commencement time to get settled.
The studio is located at: 50 Bakali Road, Tumbi Umbi
We are right opposite Forresters beach Retirement Village (off Bellevue Road), our driveway is the first one after the long white fence. We are on a battle-axe property, and the studio is the first blue clad building. Please park to the right hand side. If you have any problems with directions at all please call Shannon on 0405546618
In regards to pottery workshops finished items will be ready to collect from the studio 4-6 weeks from the date of the class, you will be sent a text regarding pick up options.
Your pieces will be finished by Shannon in a glaze of choice & fired on site.
(Once you create your pieces they take around a week to dry out, then require a bisque firing, then 3x coats of hand painted glaze, then the final glaze firing – it’s quite the process!)
Postage via Australia Post can be arranged at the participants cost, please ask for a quote.
Light refreshments are provided for each workshop (as stated in event information), please let me know prior to class if you have any food allergies / intolerances & we will cater for them.
* TERMS & CONDITIONS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
A lot of care & attention goes into each workshop here at Asha Moon Studio. Preparations are made well in advance for materials & catering. Due to this full payment is required at the time of booking, this secures your spot.
Due to the limited numbers available for each event the booking fee is non refundable.
I understand that personal circumstances can change, for this reason the booking can be transferred to another date with 7 days notice from the commencement of the workshop. Please email Shannon ASAP : infobloom@bigpond.com
If you are unwell please contact Shannon no later than 24 hours prior to the workshop, your spot will be put online to try to rebook, but if unsuccessful you will forfeit 50% of the fee (with the remainder available as a credit towards any future workshop - this credit cannot be exchanged for studio stock / product).
If the spot is booked by someone else you will have a full credit to rebook a workshop for another time. Credits must be used within 12 months.
Cancellation on the day of the event or failing to show up forfeits 100% of your booking fee.
You are very welcome to send a friend in your place!
If in the unlikely event that I am unable to hold the class due to illness / injury all participants will be offered a transfer to another date, or a full refund of the fee.
We do have workshop participation minimums to meet (4 people), if we do not make them and need to cancel an event we may do so at any time, you will be offered a full refund.
DISCLAIMER:
Your clay creation will be handled with great care like a newborn baby during the glazing & firing process, but unfortunately sometimes things do not go as planned (pottery can be a very temperamental medium to work with… such as a small trapped air bubble may cause your item to explode in the kiln!). Shannon will guide you through the hand building process explaining all techniques & how to avoid any catastrophes - but in the rare event your piece does not make it Asha Moon Studio is not liable & no refunds from the workshop are given.
Also please note that there are sometimes variations in the glaze colour, depending on each firing.
By purchasing a ticket to an Asha Moon Studio Event (for example but not limited to; sister circle, wheel of the year event, pottery workshop or featured artist workshop) you acknowledge that the Event and anything said by the host / teacher is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. Further, by purchasing a ticket to the Event you agree to; not hold the Organisers or Asha Moon Studio liable for any and all claims, loss or damage to personal property, personal injury, liabilities and costs, including legal or medical fees, as a result of your participation in the Event, including travel to and from the Event (including air travel).
